Four ways to travel. One clearer picture of the road.

01 / THE EVERYDAY RIDE

The shortest route isn’t
the whole story.

A clear sky can change. So can the road ahead. Riders need a little more context before setting off.

01

Rain changes the ride.

Sudden downpours, storms and slippery roads can turn a simple journey into a difficult one.

02

Traffic changes the plan.

A shorter route can take longer. See alternatives with live traffic, toll and highway preferences.

03

Small warnings matter.

A road hazard or a timely break can make a difference. Bring those details into the same view.

02 / YOUR RIDE, CONNECTED

More context.
Better decisions.

Plan with the traffic. Watch the weather.
Find a useful stop. Then get moving.

Routes that account for traffic

Compare traffic-aware alternatives and choose whether to avoid tolls or highways.

PLAN YOUR WAY

Weather along the way

See MET Malaysia forecasts, rain areas and storm alerts alongside RainViewer radar.

KEEP AN EYE ON THE SKY

Smart Stops, less detour

Find useful places ranked by traffic, trip progress and weather. Add a stop while keeping your destination.

A BREAK THAT FITS YOUR RIDE

A little help from AI

Gemini route analysis brings together conditions and safety recommendations before you navigate.

CONTEXT, MADE CLEARER

A heads-up from the community

See reported road issues and share a hazard using the report button when safely stopped.

LOOK OUT FOR EACH OTHER

Your journey at a glance

Follow ETA, time left, distance and speed. Recenter the map whenever you need your bearings.

STAY ORIENTED

03 / ONE BUILD. TWO WAYS IN.

“Hybrid” sounds technical.
It’s actually pretty simple.

RouteOne is built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Your browser runs that code directly. The Android app runs the same code inside a WebView — a browser built into an installable app.

A FEW MORE THINGS

Before you set off.

Is RouteOne free?

RouteOne is a student final-year project available to try without a purchase. Your usual mobile data charges may apply.

Why an APK instead of the Play Store?

The Android build is shared directly for this student project. An APK lets you install it without a Play Store listing. You can also try the browser version without installing anything.

Is it safe to install?

Only download from this official page. Compare the file’s SHA-256 with the published checksum when available. Android’s unknown-source warning is expected for direct APK downloads; it does not certify or disprove an app’s safety. Review permissions before installing.

Does it work on iPhone?

Use the browser version on iPhone or iPad and allow location access when needed. The APK only installs on Android. There is no iOS app offered here.

Why Peninsular Malaysia only?

This project focuses its route planning, weather context and testing on Peninsular Malaysia. Sabah, Sarawak and international journeys are outside its current scope.

Which data sources does it use?

Google supplies traffic-aware routing, maps and Places. Weather comes from MET Malaysia and radar from RainViewer. Gemini provides AI analysis. Community reports use Supabase / PostgreSQL. Availability and freshness depend on each source.

How is the web app different from the APK?

The HTML, CSS and JavaScript are shared. The web app runs in your browser; the Android APK wraps them in a WebView. Installation, permission prompts and updates differ. Both need internet for live services.
